Marvel's Spider-Man is an action-adventure Match developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for the PlayStation 4, based on the Marvel Comics superhero Spider-Man.

Released worldwide on September 7, 2018, it is the first licensed game. The game tells a new story about Spider-Man which is not tied to an existing book, video game, or movie, and covers the Peter Parker and Spider-Man aspects of the character.

Spider-Man was well received upon release. Critics called it one of the best superhero games praising particularly the combat, its gameplay and mechanics, images, storyline, characterization, and design of New York City, though believed it lacked innovation in its own design. The match turned into a commercial success, promoting 3.3 million copies in its first three days of launch, and bankrupt several sales documents.

Spider-Man features a huge ensemble cast of characters from Spider-Man comics' history. Peter Parker (voiced by Yuri Lowenthal) is a 23-year old research assistant, who profits superhuman abilities after being bitten by a genetically-modified spider. Parker uses these abilities to look after the citizens of New York City as the superhero Spider-Man. Eight years in his superhero career, Parker is now an experienced and masterful crime fighter, but struggles to balance his superhero and lives. He's aided in his fight with intrepid Daily Bugle reporter Mary Jane Watson (Laura Bailey), his ex-girlfriend, and NYPD Captain Yuri Watanabe (Tara Platt). Parker is used by his mentor and friend, the honored scientist Dr. Otto Octavius (William Salyers). Spider-Man's experience brings him into contact with different characters, such as Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) along with his parents, NYPD Officer Jefferson Davis (Russell Richardson) and Rio Morales (Jacqueline Pinol), OsCorp CEO and New York mayor Norman Osborn (Mark Rolston), along with Silver Sablinova (Nichole Elise), leader of the private military company Sable International.

Spider-Man's mission to guard the city brings him into conflict with supervillains. The story opens with Spider-Man taking down his longtime foe Wilson Fisk (Travis Willingham), the Kingpin of crime in New York. Fisk is delivered to prison, but cautions that he had been the sole person keeping order in town. Fisk's lack gives rise to some supernaturally powered, demonic-mask sporting gang called the Demons who begin carving up the city for the strong Mr. Side, who can corrupt people through his signature.

A lot of other characters--such as Parker's and Watson's childhood friend Harry Osborn (Scott Porter), who has vanished on a long European holiday, and anti-Spider-Man podcast host J. Jonah Jameson (Darin p Paul) have voice roles in the major game.
